We’re at 1/18 Hutchinson Street, Surry Hills. We’re in a basement on a quiet laneway — look for the Charlie Chaplin hat on the window. If you’re having trouble finding us, call 0421 203 559 and we’ll talk you in.

Can I see the menu before I book?

Our menu changes every week based on what’s best at the market. We don’t publish it in advance — that’s part of the experience. If you have specific dietary needs, contact us before booking and we’ll let you know if we can accommodate you.

How do I make a reservation?

Book directly via OpenTable on our Reservations page, or email us at reservations@lesallediningbybarchaplin.com.au. We recommend booking at least 3 days ahead — seats fill quickly.

Do you accommodate dietary requirements?

Yes, we do our best to accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions with advance notice. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can prepare accordingly.

What type of cuisine do you serve?

Our cuisine is modern-european, rooted in the culinary traditions of old-world wine countries. Each seasonal tasting menu is designed to highlight purity of ingredients and reflect our wine-led approach to dining.

How often does the menu change?

Our tasting menus change regularly to showcase the best available produce and the wines we are excited to feature that week.

Do you offer wine pairings?

We do not offer traditional wine pairings. Instead, our premium wine-by-the-glass selection is curated to match the dishes we serve each week. Many of our wines are poured from magnum and are not typically available by the glass elsewhere in Sydney.

What are your menu options and pricing?

Five-Course Menu — $158 per person Seven-Course Menu — $178 per person Le Salle Experience (multiple courses) — $250 per person A minimum beverage spend of $30 per person applies.

Is Le Salle Dining suitable for groups or private dining?

Our dining room is intimate and best suited for smaller groups. For private dining or exclusive use of the space, please contact us directly.

Do you accept walk-ins?

No, we are a reservation-only dining room. This ensures we can deliver a thoughtful and unhurried experience for every guest.

How long does the dining experience take?

We do not turn tables, and our service is intentionally unhurried. Guests can expect to spend around 2.5 to 3 hours for a full tasting menu.

Is there parking nearby?

Street parking is available on Hutchinson Street and surrounding streets in Surry Hills. We’re also a short walk from Central Station and well served by buses on Crown Street.

Is it suitable for a special occasion?

Le Salle is made for exactly that. Many of our guests come for anniversaries, birthdays, and celebrations. Let us know when you book and we’ll make sure the evening feels special.
